Our invitation

If you are looking for a place to worship, for people to journey through life with, or for someone to listen to you and pray with you, you will find a welcome here - no matter who you are, or where you live.

About us

We are the Independent Wesleyan Chapel in Bozeat - a warm and united fellowship of Christian people who belong together, but with our faces directed towards the Lord Jesus. Who died for us and is risen again. Who sends us out to serve the people around us with Tender Loving Care.

Our Pulpit

Rev Peter Norton is Pastor Emeritus and we value his ministry with us. We also welcome visiting preachers to our pulpit. Once a month we have a more informal time of worship, ‘Come and Share’, where we can choose a Bible reading, favourite hymn or share what God is doing in our lives, (or you can just enjoy the fellowship). Every week we spend time praying for those in our community and the wider world who are in any kind of need.

If there is someone you know who would value prayer contact Sue on 01933 665167 or Ellie 07816 145187

Values

As a church, we desire to be:

Biblically discipled;

Spiritually authentic;

Clearly prophetic;

Community focussed;

Culturally relevant;

Mutually committed.

Our Links with other churches

We are in fellowship with the Wesleyan Reform Union, which is a national network of small evangelical churches seeking to grow and multiply through effective communication of the gospel in local communities.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

The Christmas Story In Music

Sue Partridge-Underwood plays a Christmas carol a day this December; similar to the 'hymn a day' that comforted and reassured us during the first Covid-19 lockdown.

Rev Geoffrey Lee BD ALBC

Thursday 16th May 2019

Today, we said a loving farewell to Geoff, our minister of almost 20 years.

He was taken seriously ill in September, but over the months since then he still ministered to us in many ways, still preaching, with the gentle support of Rev Peter Norton and, we know, praying for us all.

He was admitted to Willen Hospice for the last few weeks and when any of us visited him there, he would always ask us to read him something from the Bible and pray with him. We don’t know if we did him ‘any good’, but we all came away feeling uplifted by his dignity, care and love for us.

Thursday 17th January 2019

On Monday Ellie, Sarah, Alia and Sue attended an awards evening at NAYC (Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs) which is a Christian organisation established over 50 years ago to support youth work in the county. There was a meal and then the awards ceremony.

We were thrilled when Ellie was presented with an Outstanding Service Award for her work with the young people at Open Door and All:Starz.

It was presented by the High Sheriff of Northamptonshire, James Saunders-Watson of Rockingham Castle.

Many congratulations, Ellie, and thank you for all you do!

Sunday 8th December 2018

We would like to thank Sue Norton for decorating our Christmas tree so beautifully again this year.

William Partridge-Underwood led our AllStarz Christmas celebrations.  We started the afternoon with mince pies and tea.

William asked us what comes to mind when we hear the word ‘Christmas ‘. Lots of thoughts were offered! Presents, tree, cake, Father Christmas, Jesus, angels, reindeers, wise men, parties, shepherds, stable.

As you can see he had us all dressed up... then he started to take the photos, but it was too crowded,  so  he began to remove people. The first to go were the wise men, then the shepherds, then the angels, Mary and Joseph .....finally Jesus! There was uproar.....how could we have Christmas without JESUS??

But ...many people do just that....remove Jesus!

Remember the reason for the season. Jesus came to earth to be our Saviour!

We, at TLC would like to wish everyone a blessed and peaceful Christmas. Welcome Jesus into your celebrations this year.

Sunday 14th October 2018

We were delighted that Geoff, our minister was able to join us for worship today which William Partridge-Underwood led. He reminded us of the WOW moments in the Bible, Jesus's miracles, particularly the miracle of his death on the cross and resurrection. Geoff’s daughter, Chrissie and her husband Mike brought him. He joined in all the discussions and added to the depth of our fellowship together. Before they set off for home he took himself to the piano and played a selection of favourite hymns.
 God bless you Geoff.
